social media has shown me some very diverse pissing on the poor style reading comprehension takes over the years but i don't think i've ever seen a straight up "fables carry no meaning because they are just stories, something that is famously known to mean nothing"
This is a very conservative mindset. I know this because I have a lot of conservative relatives who get very angry at me for discussing themes and symbolism in media. I have never been able to pinpoint exactly why it makes them so angry but best I can tell its mainly a byproduct of the feedback loop between conservative ideology and anti-intectualism.
